Since there is no inner ring, the surface of the journal that cooperates with them is a direct rolling surface. It is required that the surface hardness is not lower than HRC60, and the surface roughness Ra value is not greater than 0.63µm. This type of bearing does not limit the axial displacement of the shaft or the housing, and the limiting speed is higher.

Since this type of bearing has no ribs, the inner ring, outer ring, full set of needle rollers and cages can be installed separately, without limiting the axial displacement of the shaft or housing. Because the needle rollers are separated by a cage, friction is reduced, so it can be used in parts with higher speeds.
